voter registration deadlines by state
https://www.vote.org/voter-registration-deadlines/
Most are more 15-30 days before the general election; some states permit voter registration on election day but you'll be looking at a provisional ballot.
So bottom line: Sooner is better than later! Make sure you're registered NOW!
EARLY VOTING DEADLINES BY STATE
https://www.vote.org/early-voting-calendar/
Early voting is the best option for those of us who live in the 34 states that allow it because lines could be long on election day and stuff could go wrong. In-person in-advance absentee voting is an option in some additional states.
If you can vote EARLY IN PERSON, DO IT!!!
BECAUSE THE ONLY WAY YOUR VOTE DOESN'T MATTER IS IF YOU DON'T VOTE.

ALSO REALLY IMPORTANT
CONVERTING TO 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY AS SOON AT POSSIBLE
It's MUCH EASIER than people think it is, it'll lower our demand (because it takes a LOT of energy to make energy from fossil fuels -- extraction takes energy, transportation of the materials to the processing plants takes energy, plus there's a bunch of energy wasted in the combustion process), AND it'll be cheaper AND save lives (our life expectancies are all shortened because of pollution) AND it'll create lots and lots of jobs! Win-win-WIN.
Check out The Solutions Project to see YOUR home state or country's path to 100% renewable energy at www.thesolutionsproject.org. Let's do this!

VOTING SECURITY!!!
^^ SRSLY so important ^^
If you want to do something right now to help people vote,
consider the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition
You can donate to help pay the outstanding fines and fees owed by former felons in Florida. Once paid, the citizens will have their voting rights restored. Deadline to register for this general election is Oct. 5, so now is the time.*

*(That citizens could be denied their rights to vote over money owed to the government is itself antidemocratic. The 24th Amendment makes that illegal, yet some states seem not to have read that amendment.)
